Before your
first meeting

Hanne sends this list by email after you book. Bring the papers, or scan them and reply to her message the day before. A meeting with the lease on the table takes 45 minutes. Without it, it takes two meetings.

What to bring

A lease

  • The draft lease and every annex
  • The listing or the landlord's emails about rent and costs
  • Your planned move‑in date

A deposit

  • The signed lease
  • Entry and exit inventory, with photos if you took them
  • The bank's deposit certificate or the account number
  • Every message from the landlord since you left

Employment

  • The contract or the offer letter
  • Your last three payslips
  • Any work rules (arbeidsreglement) you received

An invoice

  • The invoice and the quote or order behind it
  • Your general terms, if you have them
  • Reminders you already sent

The 45 minutes

  1. First 10Your story, in your own order.
  2. Next 20The law that applies, your position in plain words, and the realistic options. Sometimes the honest option is to do nothing.
  3. Last 15What the next step would be, who does what, and its fixed fee or written estimate. You decide later, by email, not in the room.

Small questions

Can I bring someone?

Yes. They hear everything, so choose someone you trust with it.

How does the video meeting work?

You get a link by email the morning of the meeting. It opens in the browser, nothing to install. Send the documents beforehand, since showing a lease through a camera does not work well.

My papers are in Dutch and I don't read it

That is the usual case. Bring them as they are; we explain them in English.

I need to cancel

Tell Hanne at least one working day before and there is nothing to pay. Later than that, the €110 is due.
